Anti-Wrinkle Treatments
Anti-wrinkle injections, commonly known as Botox, are FDA-approved, minimally invasive, and quick (10-15 minute) procedures used to temporarily relax facial muscles and reduce dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet and forehead lines.
Anti-wrinkle injections (e.g., Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) contain a neurotoxin, Clostridium botulinum, which, when injected in small, titrated amounts, blocks nerve impulses to muscles, temporarily preventing contractions that cause skin to wrinkle.
- These injections are highly effective for:
- Frown lines between the brows.
- Forehead lines.
- Crow's feet (lines around the eyes).
- Gummy smiles, drooping mouth corners, or defining the jawline.
