Meet Beenu Bastian

Beenu Bastian is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist with extensive experience supporting people living with prediabetes, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and diabetes during pregnancy.

She holds postgraduate qualifications in diabetes education and management and recently completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), with research focused on improving risk stratification and personalised care for women with gestational diabetes.

Beenu is passionate about helping people understand their diabetes and feel confident in managing their health. She provides practical, evidence-based education and support tailored to each person's medical needs, lifestyle, cultural background, and individual goals.

Working in partnership with patients, their families, general practitioners, endocrinologists, and other healthcare professionals, Beenu empowers people with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage diabetes in everyday life.

In addition to diabetes education and medication management, Beenu has extensive experience supporting people using diabetes technology, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems and insulin pump therapy. She can assist with insulin pump starts, upgrades, troubleshooting, optimisation of pump settings, and education for people transitioning to new technologies.

She is committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care that supports individuals to make informed decisions and achieve their health goals.
